Soap Therapy

I think I enjoy comics like this the most. The little in between ones that are about nothing more than further exploring the personalities of the characters and their relationships with each other. I really dig the idea that Broch and Ronda are both addicted to the same lame soap opera. Also I've hinted at the fact that Broch is more at home in deep space but I really want to get my claws into his back story down the line.

I've been getting a lot of supportive emails concerning my choice to go back to school and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated. The closer it gets the more excited I become. I think about the time I spent in high school and that year I blew at Murray State and my mind boggles. I can see now that I was just not capable of accomplishing much at that time in my life. a few years in the work force and trying to support a family have given me a valuable perspective. Where once I thought of school as another thing that was expected of me it's now something I expect of myself and I can't wait for the challenge. I wanna say thanks to everyone who's still reading and all of you who've signed up for the mailing list. It makes me feel better to know that you guys are getting to read the comic as soon as it comes out considering how long it's taking me to produce these days.

Keep on reading and I'll catch you next time.

What I've Been Wasting my Time on.

It's with the appropriate amount of trepidation that I set this before you. If you've followed my work you're aware of involvement with a certain Andrew Hussie. The shortest explanation is that he is a friend of mine and I offer that only because it's shorter than saying he is my utter antithesis in every imaginable way. Naturally I am drawn into conflict with him regularly and the latest incarnation of said conflict is what can only be termed as a Colossal Suck Off.

The guy fancies himself an artist of the highest order. So high in fact that his inane scribblings (he calls the Scribblettes) are in fact a higher form of comic art than what I and others labor over for hours to create. I disagree. anyone can do this shit. In my efforts to prove this to him we have taken upon ourselves to prove just which of us can create the suckiest comic.

I have to say that while I've plumbed new and fascinating depths of sucktitude I am still getting my ass handed to me neatly wrapped in a snotty handkerchief.

Ever Done it With a Moxian?

It's supposed to be pretty hot.

So yeah I've been really unreliable lately with the updates and kind of cryptic about why. The fact is I've had to make a tough decision regarding GSC. Just recently I made the choice to go back to school and pursue a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. As difficult as it's been to maintain a webcomic of the quality that i want to on my current schedule I have to be honest about my ability to do so once school starts in the fall. The problem is there are a few thousand of you out there who actually want to know what happens to Hap and the gang. Well the truth is so do I and as a result i won't be shelving the comic. Ever. I am however going to relegate it to the status of hobby. Since its inception I've been making attempts (all be they half hearted) at making a living out of this comic and frankly I don't think that's what I want to do with my future. I like drawing comics and I really like drawing GSC but making a livable income from it is too muc pressure and sucks a lot of the joy out of it. I like just drawing them when I feel like it which I feel will allow me to keep drawing and drawing. I really want to assure you guys that you'll never type this url and find a browser error where the site once was (not intentionally anyway). However I can't commit to any kind of regular schedule. For the rest of the summer I'm going to try and put up at least one comic a week but once school starts all bets are off. As I'm sure you understand I want to put as much focus on my studies as humanly possible.

Let me remind any of you that haven't to join the mailing list and get updates by email when I do post comics. Wish me luck and keep on reading.
